SPRINGTIME

Springtime emerges
in shades of delight,
while drab days of winter
pack up and take flight.

Warm sunshine caresses
the body and mind,
while coldness of winter
is left far behind.

The trees that were barren
are clothed now in green,
and wild flowers are peeking
in this breathtaking scene.

The ground is awakening,
the grasses are growing,
and the air becomes lively
from sounds of the mowing.

The bees begin buzzing,
and songbirds appear.
My spirit is dancing
because springtime is here!
