TWO LADDERS OF LIFE

Two ladders there are in the battle of time.
Each person must choose the one he will climb.
To reach the top is a difficult matter;
it's a long climb on the successful ladder.

The ladder of failure has only one rung,
and the songs that need singing will never be sung.
The rung's at the bottom, no way to advance;
the ladder of failure gives no one a chance.

The ladder of progress is open to all.
It reaches up skyward with no place to fall.
The struggles are endless, the ladder goes high;
the top may be reached by all those who try.

Which do you choose? Do you desire to climb
or do you choose failure in the race of time?
It's left up to you, the decision is small;
do you want to climb or not move at all?
